Key things to know
- Employees can access bswift from Paycor via SSO, but not the other way around.
- Make all demographic changes in Paycor, not in bswift.
- Ensure employee IDs and benefit classes match in both systems.
- If a benefit deduction is incorrect in Paycor, it should be corrected in bswift (not by hand in payroll).
- Deduction file requires Custom Payroll Schedules on the employee record.
- Paycor cannot accept employer HSA contribution amounts on the deduction file.
- HSAs must be built as one plan with one deduction code—not separate for Single and Family.

Use Paycor to:
- Add new hires and terminate employees
- Update name, address, contact info
- Change pay, hours, job, or location
Changes in Paycor transfer to bswift on a daily demographic import file.

Use bswift to:
- Enroll employees in benefits
- Handle life events (marriage, baby, etc.)
- Change or end benefit elections
bswift sends updated benefit deductions to Paycor on a daily vendor interface file.
