“We are excited to bring the first multi-vendor private exchange to Missouri and Southern Illinois,” said Holley Maher, Partner at MRCT Benefits Plus. “We look forward to offering brokers and employers a private exchange that is designed to manage costs for employers, employees and brokers while still offering competitive benefit options.”
MRCT is leveraging bswift’s proven technology to provide functions and capabilities including:
- A robust defined contribution platform for employers and employees
- Shopping tools, decision support, and enrollment for employees
- Employer tools including reporting, dashboards, and alerts
- Broker tools, including proprietary analytics
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files and transmissions to carriers and payroll
- Financial management including billing
“MRCT Benefits Plus has designed an intelligent private exchange to help employers manage benefit costs and increase employee satisfaction in the increasingly competitive landscape for attracting and retaining talent,” remarked Don Garlitz, Executive Director of Exchange Solutions, bswift. “MRCT has been instrumental in getting bswift connected with insurance companies in the St. Louis area, and their pioneering work on the local level could benefit other brokers across the country who will offer a private exchange solution using bswift technology.”
This new statewide private exchange will feature three major health insurance carriers: UnitedHealthcare, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Missouri, and Coventry. MRCT’s private exchange will provide a single place for brokers to offer all coverage options including non-medical products with companies such as The Guardian Life Insurance of America, Unum, Assurant Employee Benefits and MetLife.
