CHICAGO, IL — Thursday, June 11th, 2015
bswift, a leader in cloud-based technology and services for employee benefits and health exchanges, recently held its annual bswift Summit and Idea Exchange in downtown Chicago. The two-day Summit – the largest in the event’s 12-year run – featured more than 30 client and channel partner speakers. In a variety of interactive sessions, the speakers, conference attendees and bswift subject matter experts addressed the top challenges facing HR and benefits leaders today.
The Summit included keynotes, panel discussions and 20 breakout sessions with thought leaders from such companies as CareerBuilder, Groupon, Intuit, Iron Mountain, Radio Flyer and more. These business executives discussed topics ranging from Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance to engaging employees in their health and benefit programs. The sessions focused on diverse themes, including the following:
- ACA Compliance
- Total Rewards
- Benefits Shopping and Decision Support
- Consumerism and Employee Engagement
- HR and Payroll System Integration
- Wellness Programs>
- Private Exchanges
Other main themes of this year’s Summit were the importance of culture and how to attract and retain top talent. Keynote speaker Danny Meyer, CEO, Union Square Hospitality Group and best-selling author of “Setting the Table: The Transforming Power of Hospitality in Business,” explained how businesses can distinguish themselves and delight customers by prioritizing their own employees and culture.
The Summit ended on a “more fun” note with Chicago’s famed Second City leading a workshop to improve communication skills by using improvisation techniques.
“For the past 12 years, we have provided a forum for our clients and partners to get together and learn from one another,” noted Rich Gallun, CEO, bswift. “We particularly value hearing from our clients firsthand about what’s most important to them and how we can continue to improve bswift technology and services. In addition, it’s great to see all of the attendees sharing tips, tricks and best practices.”
At the event, bswift also announced the dates and location for next year’s Summit. It will be held May 5 and 6, 2016 at the JW Marriott in Chicago.
